About speaking at TEDxAmericanRiviera
This isn’t a typical conference. The audience has exceedingly high expectations of the speakers. Rules for our speakers include a ban on “selling from the stage” (no plugging your company or organization), and a strict enforcement of the clock.
The presentations feature a 3, 6, 12 or 18 minute talk . We’ve found that carefully prepared presentations of these lengths can have astonishing impact. This format also allows us to fit in more than 20 speakers/performers for the event. Everyone hears every presentation; there are no breakout sessions.
Most speakers stay the entire day of the conference, soaking up the inspiration, and connecting with other fascinating attendees, who range from rocket scientists to concert pianists. In fact, the main reason to come is to join an extraordinary conversation with an extraordinary group of people.
TEDxAmericanRiviera does not pay speakers to attend, but we’re committed to creating an experience that’s tremendously fulfilling and beneficial on all sides. Other TEDxAmericanRiviera goodies may be announced soon as details are confirmed.
Some of the talks will be distributed online. An additional benefit of speaking at TEDxAmericanRiviera is that your presentation will be beautifully produced, broadcast-quality video podcasts of the best presentations at TEDxAmericanRiviera. Offered free to the public, your talk will prove extraordinarily effective at spreading ideas.
