Dr. Keith Witt He has conducted over fifty thousand therapy sessions in Santa Barbara with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life including the film and music industries, corporate management, information technologies, engineering, academia, the law, and a full spectrum of other cultures. He has also led hundreds of groups, and taught numerous classes and workshops.
Dr. Witt has taught at Antioch University, Santa Barbara Adult Education, and the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute. He is a writer, lecturer, and workshop leader. Known for his hilarious and informative speaking style, Keith leads us through cutting edge systems and perspectives to look for unifying principles and superior practices.

Dr. Witt is the author of four books, which he copublished with The Santa Barbara Graduate Institute:

He has also published the groundbreaking article, “Developmental Engagement Field Theory,” in the Journal of Integral Theory and Practice, and is a popular lecturer at Boulder Integral.
In the last decade Keith has been synthesizing and applying Ken Wilber’s Integral psychology, David Deida’s teachings about the masculine and feminine, ascending and descending spiritual practices, developmental neurobiology, manifestation systems, and attachment research. This work has yielded classes, workshops, four books, various articles, and clinical training organized around the principle that therapists best serve from unique natural healing styles.
Born in Hawaii, raised in suburban Los Angeles, Keith has lived and worked in Santa Barbara since 1967. Dedicating himself at fifteen to becoming a psychotherapist, he has been studying, practicing, teaching, and generating transformative healing systems ever since. During this time he has enthusiastically surfed, played tennis, tap-danced, and fronted the rock and roll band Blown Head Gasket. He earned his black belt in Shotokan Karate in 1969, continued to study martial arts, and presently enjoys tai chi. He and his wife Becky met in 1973 and have two grown children, Ethan and Zoe.
Relationships and sexuality have always been areas of interest, especially the social and neurobiological dynamics of attachment, fidelity, and intimacy. 100 Reasons to NOT have the Affair represents the culmination of four decades of practice, study, and personal experience helping individuals and couples deal with a staggering array of marital issues including romance, intimate bonding, sexuality, betrayal, and relational healing.
